Hi All,
It was my birthday today, quite a milestone as I am not 40 yet! I turned 39! Leo was having breakfast and he said Happy Birthday to me, I said to him do you know how old I am and my wife whispered in his ear 39, Leo said Dad you are 39 today! I said Leo how old are you, he said I am 4, I said if you are 4 and dad is 39, dad is old, he said no dad is big :)
See You

Sony Explorer Science
Hi All,
Sony have a place called "Sony Explorer Science" its in Daiba on the edge of Tokyo bay, it has all these cool things that you can play with, they can measure your smile, lock on to you movements and then these movements can been seen on the sceen as a dancing robot, 3D movies, looked real good! Making a 3D image, seems real easy with sonys gear, how mobile phones work etc etc, all hands on!
Well I would love to show you inside but no photos allowed, so enjoy some pics I took of Diaba, the train drove its self :)
BTW - Don't be let down by the lack of people, I have been to Daiba on the weekend and it is a busy place.
See You

New Zealand
Hi All,
I always said I would re access how things were going here in Japan and give it a couple years, things have been ticking away here but to be honest Japanese is harder to learn than what I thought, the summers are so hot here you tolerate not enjoy them, something I am not really use to, summer time in NZ you can get out and about and do things, hat and sun cream and you are away! But here it is so hot it is draining. The humidity is a killer and the mosquitos make life very uncomfortable. Either side of summer and the weather is quite pleasant, the winters are just like Christchurch, maybe a bit drier. Some really good things here but big cities are big! Tokyo is an old city and outside the main areas that look new there are some pretty old parts of Tokyo. Taxes are high here too, I didn't know that you paid a residence tax, 10% for the pleasure of living here. GST is going up from 5% to 10%, Power prices are increasing to pay for all the problems of the nuclear disaster at Fuakishima and extra cost of using other forms of power generation. There have been some real good things here, grandma and grand dad are here, there is always something different on in the weekends, see my blog :) I have decided to return to NZ the lifestyle in NZ suits us better, so keep your eye out for us in 2013

Kids say the darnest things
Hi All,
My wife and Leo went to the super market the other day, Leo wanted some noodles, so my wife bought him some noodles in a container where all you do is add boiling water, wait 2 minutes and walah you have instant noodles. Leo is 4.5 years old and I am not that handy in the Kitchen.
My wife said to Leo you can have the noodles tomorrow when dad picks you up from school (wife is out and about today and won't be home until later on) Leo said "Mumy, do you think dad knows how to boil the water " Enough said I hear you all rolling on the floor with laughter!
