Me at Tokyo Dome

Picture tells a thousand words!

and yes I got very wet at the end, kids were to scared to go on and laughed at me when I got soaked, guess I know who made the right decision! Hmmmmmmmmmmm

Chocolate Cake

Hi,

Our across the road neighbour of who we always bring a small gift for when we travel here gave us this amazing looking chocolate cake!  Check out the photo, I am sure my doctor would not be impressed, although cake and deserts in Japan are not as laden with sugar as NZ. Europeans have gone for sickly sweet!

Enjoy the photo of the cake as much as I did having a small slice opps large slice :)

Auska Yama Koen

Hi,

At 6:40am I was on my bike to the park to watch a friend perform Tai Chi, its a very slow and précise movements formed to make a dance you might call it. But looks good when everyone does it together.

You can see in the back ground the Cherry Blossoms are just about gone now.

Hi Everyone,

I am back in Japan, arrived here 7 April 2014, its a strange feeing, feels like I had never left, everything is the same, I am doing and seeing the same things as before, I am still struggling with the language but only one person to blame for that isn't there, doh! Weather is nice, food is good, beer is good! Have been able to catch the last of the cherry blossom trees, looks amazing!

Friends to catch up with, lots of good food to be eaten and lots good beer to be drunking :)

Anyway as my holiday progresses I will add some photos and things, keep on reading!

Bruce in Japan has come to an end

Hello All,

To all my followers I hope you have enjoyed reading my blog about my life in Japan, my family and I have relocated back to New Zealand. I enjoyed my time in Japan, its a great place, lots to see and do but Japan is also a hard place if you can't speak much Japanese and you are not used to hot humid summers with mosquitos. I have made some life long friends in Japan, many people were sad to see us leave. Its really hard when you want your wife to feel happy, but you are from two different countries, one person will always be away from their family and friends, it is my wife who made the hardest choice when she decided to marry me and leave all that behind, I wanted her to be with her friends, her mum and dad to be with the grand kids so in coming back to NZ I have let my wife down, which makes me a little sad as I know how much she loves it there!! I can't say a bad word about Japan, the people were all so nice to me and helpful! I would recommend you visit Japan one day it sure is an amazing place full of history and high tech gadgets, Japanese are the masters of electronic toilets :)
